The Third Chapter of One Little Family Of Mice!

The words SCHOOL TIME!-rang out in the great pine forest. Ruby and Elijah were getting ready for their very first day of school. They had never gone before and they were really nervous, well... Ruby was anyway. While Mother mouse was buttoning up the back of Ruby's dress Ruby asked all kinds of questions." Will they like me? Will the teacher like me? Will I do good on my very first day?" Yes, yes, yes were the answers to those questions and the rest she asked.

Father mouse pronounced that he was off to work, and the little mice rushed for a hug. But there was something sad on his face that made the little mice wonder. Before long Mother mouse was literally shoving her little rowdy mice out the door. When they finally left, she drug out the Christmas things, but she did not know father mouse's sad surprise.

Before long Mother mouse's little rowdy mice were back in and they all requested their afternoon snack! While the mice ate, she did the last finishing touches on their Christmas decorations so she could surprise them. After a few minutes she brought them in and surprised them!!!

Then Father mouse came home and told them something very sad which was why the little mice were wondering.....

" The Raccoon Family,(the president of the forest and his family) said we must leave the forest. We must leave because man is entering our forest and setting fire to it. We must leave immediately without question!"

Two hours later all the forest animals stood outside the forest watching it go up in flames. Twas a very sad sight, but the mouse family pressed on because they did not want to see the horrible sight.
