Monday Prayers 9-28-20
Dear Lord,
As I live this day, help me to live it for you.
Every person I touch, every task I complete, and every word I say; let it all be done for you. Let me not focus on how I will benefit from the day but how I may benefit others. Let me live this day according to your Word.
As I go through this day, let me manage my frustration with you at my side. It is so easy for me to be angry at the little things and feel hopeless in the face of big things. Let both be conquered with your grace and peace permeating my soul.
I pray for friends. One who has lost her brother this week and is walking through that loss. Give her and her entire family, which includes another close friend, your ultimate peace and an impatience to be with that person again in glory.
I pray for another friend as her life is busy and you have much for her to do. She seeks to do what is right and may you give her a heart of patience and trust as she wakes to each day.
I pray for one more friend. They need you Lord. Keep them under the shadow of your wing. Guide them in the way that they should go and strengthen them with your righteous right hand. Let them know that you are still there for them. Help them to make you first in their life above all else and to put off the strongholds that so easily entangle them.
I commit so much to your hand today. Do as you will in this day in my life and each of theirs.
In the name of Christ I pray, Amen.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith-- the salvation of your souls."
