Starbucks
I love Starbucks, but I'm probably not going to spend my weight in bills to buy it five times a week at the local drive-thru. (There, I did my icebreaker. :) )
For those of you who don't know me, I want to reveal who I am to you and exactly where I stand.
I'm Madeline. I'm 22 and I've been on and off this blog since I was 10 years old. I'm not sure why my mother trusted me with that, but I am awfully glad I have the memories. <3
I'm first and foremost a Christian and nothing in the world, no trial or circumstance this life presents, is going to change that for me. I'm the first to admit that I've been tempted and tried over the course of the years I've known Christ. Something I've always battled is fear; for example. That's why one of my favorite scriptures is John 14:27. Go ahead and look it up and be blessed. :)
I'm a small farm girl. I love to ramble, hike, run, bike, and all the other outdoorsy things one might expect living out on a grid like this. I've lived here for 16 years today actually (hooray for farmiversaries).
I'm a college graduate as of this past December. God led me through one of the most trying journies of my life and gave me the gift of achieving one of my greatest goals through His mercy and grace! I know there is a rising generation of young people who aren't fans of the college scene, but that's ok. I'm not either. Online was just fine for me. :) I'm a graduated writer and I'm proud of the four years I spent honing my craft just as entrepreneurs hone theirs by trial and error. It takes variety to keep this ol' sinking world afloat, right?
I'm very much politically conservative, but I believe in freedom of speech. So if you voted for Biden or had a campaign sign in your yard, that's ok and I'm glad you're here anyway. Productive conversations can still be had, am I right? Just no hate allowed. ;)
I'm one of the volunteer state leaders for a national organization by the name of the Convention of States. I'm proud of what we as a team can accomplish, and the goal we plan to reach, as we seek to promote change on the state and federal government levels. I 100% stand behind that, the perhaps overused, phrase "Be the change you want to see in the world." Check the website out if you have a few minutes to spare in your day. :)
Fun facts:
1- I'm addicted to coffee.
2- Combine #1 with a good view in a remote outdoor location and I have found my happy place.
3- I love to sing, but Church has been as far as it goes. #lakewildwoodbaptist
4- I went to two Trump rallies.
5- I'm a truth seeker. You'll get it if you are one too. :)
6- I have 8 brothers and sisters, six of whom are younger than me, and no I don't have the patience of Job.
7- I hope to get married one day, but I am content with the journey God has me on and wherever He leads I'll follow. I don't need to know the big picture to live the best and only life I'm given (my post photo :) ).
8- If you have a topic suggestion for me to write on, I'm here for it!
I thank you all for reading, and I hope to be here more than I have been lately!
Cheers,
Maddie-
