Every Morning

Dear Readers,
I wrote this poem about a week ago...the first one I have written in a LoNg time! I named it "Every Morning" because we were going through a tough time, and I had to remember that "His mercies were new every morning".
Enjoy!
Every morning I seek His face
For it is filled with needed grace.
I do not seek the Devil's schemes
But I look at the sunrise with possible dreams.

His mercies are new every morning I say
As I sit up in bed and I greet the new day.
When I am outside, my heart seems to sing
"Mercy and Grace are such wonderful things!"

Every morning I sit down to pray
And I thank the Lord for the beautiful day!
But if the sky grows dark and dreary
My heart becomes so very weary.

When the sun breaks through the clouds
My spirit shouts with joy
For everything is new and bright
Like the smile of a little boy!

Every morning when I pull the weeds
I hear a bluebird's call 'tis shrill!
That bird was what my spirit needs
It has to be the Master's will!

The flowers sprout each new morn'
My heart is no longer forlorn
But every morning one thing I do
Is remember to pray for you!
