Continued: The 4th Chapter

So the mice traveled on until they came to a great big city. Although the city was deserted. "How strange," said mother mouse," This used to be a large hustling-bustling city."

They started to walk through the streets, although the city wasn't as deserted as they thought. It was quite alive actually! Other mice ran here, there, and everywhere! They actually found their cousins and a few friends from the forest! They camped in the house of their cousins until they could find a house of their own.

The next morning their parents were gone when they got up. They had decided to go ahead and find a new home. "They will be back later with a wonderful surprise!" their Aunt had told them.

It started to rain and all the mice had to come back inside from their play. They were quite disappointed because they were playing, Rescue the fair maiden, as they had called it and Ruby was the fair maiden! Stuck in a tree!

Their parents did come home a little while later and........they brought home a very nice surprise! But papers! Were not what the little mice had imagined! Father mouse explained to them that they had made a business deal, and had bought a beautiful house on the outskirts of the city. He also told them that they would get to see it the following day. Now that was a surprise! They cheered with delight. As Mother mouse would call it, " A wonderful surprise indeed!"
